Harlem Nights is a 1989 American crime comedy drama film that was written directed and produced by Eddie Murphy. The film starred some of the greatest comedians and actors including, Murphy himself and his brother Charlie Murphy, Richard Pryor, Redd Foxx, Della Reese and many more. The film was released on November, 1989 by Paramount Pictures. The film follows the 1930s New York illegal gambling house owner and his associates. They must deal with competition, gangsters and corrupt cops in order to stay in business.
